First Bus Services: A Major Overhaul for Norfolk's Public Transport
Norfolk residents are in for a treat as First Bus prepares to revolutionize the region's public transportation system. Starting August 30th, get ready for a smoother, more efficient travel experience with enhanced connections and improved frequency.
A New Era of Connectivity

A11 Corridor
- Green Line Services: The 14 bus route will traverse Attleborough, Wymondham, Hethersett, and Dussindale, offering a more direct path to Norwich Airport. Meanwhile, the X14 will replace the X13, and routes 15 and 16 will divert from Harts Farm to serve northern Wymondham and provide direct access to the rail station.
- Increased Frequency: Together, these routes will ensure buses run as frequently as every 15 minutes between Wymondham and Norwich, a significant improvement for commuters.
Orange Line
- Service 20 Extension: This service will now extend beyond Catton Grove Road to Spixworth via North Walsham Road, replacing the 13 and X13. This extension creates a direct link to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), benefiting residents in the area.
- Enhanced Evening and Sunday Services: All journeys on the 21 will now run via Fiddlewood, with late-night buses for Spixworth departing Norwich as late as 11:10 PM. Additionally, Sunday services will be doubled in frequency, ensuring more convenient travel on weekends.

- Revised Timetables: Routes 2 and 3 will operate on a new schedule, providing more frequent services between Market Gates and Barrack Estate (every 15 minutes), Gorleston and Bradwell (every 30 minutes), and Burgh Castle and James Paget Hospital (hourly).
